Basic Info BioI like soup. Here is the recipe to my favorite soup. Gracias to my mom.
Lentil Soup
2 cups red lentils
8 cups water
1/2 cup drained stewed tomatoes (canned)
2 large cloves of garlic, crushed
1 large yellow onion, minced
(bring water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add lentils, tomatoes, garlic and onion. Cover, reduce heat, simmer 30- 35 minutes.)
1 yellow onion, minced (another one)
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp sea salt
(heat cast iron skillet over medium heat, add butter. Add onions, fry 5- 10 minutes. Add fried onions, pepper, cumin and salt to the soup. Add 4 tablespoons of butter to the soup.)
serve with lemon wedges... and buttered toast.
And of course, organic products are always better! (don't support walmart!)
